1. What have you accomplished so far with your Capstone Project outside of class?

So far for my capstone I have completed my prototype of my make up bag. I have been working
diligently on creating the best possible bag. I have determined the style and size of the bag. I also have
started prepping my materials to start producing the bags faster. I have also found my first mentor. My
mentor is my mother, but my mom has extensive knowledge on how to sew so I have decided to get her
help with learning the finishing touches for my bags.

2. What do you plan to accomplish by the end of next week?

By next week I want to have my website up and start preparing the different types of bags. I want to
have all my different types of designs done for my bags.

3. What are your needs (time, space, materials, personal contacts etc)?

I already have all my materials. I’m more just needing time out of school to do it. Next week I don’t
work at all so I will have time to work towards creating stock. I’m also going to be looking for a small
business mentor to help me thought the process of creating my brand.

4. Have you encountered any obstacles or challenges so far, and how have you overcome them?
I have run into the challenge of creating a product that is well finished. I had to work deliberately on
creating the best possible product for my customers. I have been communicating with my mom on
the best ways to make my project more seamless.
