Seminar and Expo on

World Day for Safety and Health at Work, 28th April 2007

The International Labour Organization (ILO) has declared 28th April as World Day for
Safety and Health at Work. The event is being observed world over. On this occasion
the Centre for the Improvement of Working Conditions and Environment (CIWCE) in the
Labour and Human Resource Department, Government of Punjab is organizing an event,
the highlights of which are:

Seminar with speeches on safety, and health issues by leading experts

Exhibition of health and safety products and services available in Pakistan

Screening of training videos on occupational safety and health

Free distribution of safety and health literature and CDs

The event will be held at the premises of CIWCE in Township Lahore (location map
attached). Participation will be through invitation only. Those interested in participating
in the event are requested to send their name, contact details and nature of work or
interest in the subject to awosh@brain.net.pk in order to receive an invitation. If you are
an equipment or service provider in the area of safety and health, you may also contact us
on the above mentioned email address for booking a stall in the exhibition. Limited hostel
facility is alos available for those traveling from outside Lahor, which can be booked on
first come first served basis.
