About the MFI Industries:
Microfinance in India is defined as small collateral-free loans given to individuals
belonging to households (husband, wife and their unmarried children) with an annual
income of less than ₹3 lakhs. There are two models of microfinance in India – Joint
Liability Groups (JLG) & Self-Help Groups (SHG) both of which together have a total
portfolio outstanding of about ₹5.5 Lakh Crore. Of this, JLG based loans account for ₹3.5 L
crore and the balance is through SHG’s. The banking sector, through JLG based
microfinance, serves the needs of about 7 Cr unique borrowers across the country.

Job Purpose:
The job purpose for a Management Trainee in the role of accounting is to provide
individuals with a structured and comprehensive training program to develop their skills,
knowledge, and expertise in the field of accounting and financial management. This role is
designed to prepare trainees for a successful career in accounting by equipping them with
the necessary skills and experience to contribute effectively to an organization's financial
operations and reporting.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

 Day to day accounting entries (recording of AP and AR transactions).


 Preparation of GL schedules.
 Assistance during monthly/quarterly closure of books of accounts
 Direct/ Indirect Tax compliance

Requirements:

 Clear communication in English both written and spoken.


 Ability to work under strict deadlines, Eagerness to learn new things.
 Ability to work under pressure.
