Checklist

❑ Speak clearly.
❑ Take turns speaking.
❑ Speak in full sentences most of the time.
❑ Answer simple questions like who, what, when, or
where.
❑ Follow 2-steps directions.
❑ Exhibit appropriate book handling skills.
❑ Identify spoken rhyming words.
❑ Identify all upper and lower case letters.
❑ Understand that letters make sounds (phonics).
❑ Read familiar environmental print like signs & labels.
❑ Understand letters, words & sentences relations.
❑ Listen to a story & retell basic plot.
❑ Write their first names with proper capitalization.
❑ Identify basic shapes & colors.
❑ Understand basic size and directional words.
❑ Count up to 50 or higher verbally.
❑ Count a set up to 10 while pointing to each object.
❑ Understand concepts of more, less, greater & fewer.
❑ Hold pencil properly.
❑ Cut on a line with scissors.
