people aged 65 in three countries named Canada, Germany and UK from
1988 to 2030. Overall, from 1988 to 2000, Germany had the largest percentage of 65-year-old people and all three countries saw an upward trend. In 2030, the expectations show that the trend and order still unchange. In 1988, the figure of Germany was one-fifth, which was 4% more than that of Canada - the runner-up. In 2000, the proportion of Germany and Canada moderately rose about 5%, at 25% and 21%, respectively. In 1988, UK was the country, which had the lowest figure, at 14% and it slightly increased in 2000, at 15%. In 2030, it is predicted that the percentage of the German aged 65 will go up to 30%. Calculations reveal tha the figure of Canada and UK will increase 5% in 2030, at 26% and 20%, respectively.
