“BAYANIHAN PARA SA LIGTAS NA PAARALAN“

(NARRATIVE REPORT)
The Department of Education (DepEd) had its annual “Brigada Eskwela”
from August 14 to 19 , 2023 for all public elementary and secondary schools
nationwide. “ Brigada Eskwela “ is also known as the National Schools
Maintenance Week.

The Department of Education ( DepEd ) encourages education stakeholders

to take part in the conduct of this year’s Brigada Eskwela for 6 days with the
theme : “ Bayanihan Para sa Ligtas Paaaralan.”

It seems like it was just a month ago when the Annual Brigada Eskwela or
also known as “National Schools’ Maintenance Week” took place. And now again,
before the start of the classes on August 29, 2023 as mandated by the DepEd
through Memorandum No. 70, s.2007 wherein all schools have to prepare for the
opening of the classes. So, instead of enjoying the vacation, teachers along with the
parents and other stakeholders have to come to school fuelled by the spirit of
volunteerism and unity as our modern way of showing our“ Bayanihan” to fix
whatever is there to fix, clean whatever is needed to clean in the school for
beloved school clientele to be comfortable and inspired in another school year of
cleaning.This yesr’s Brigada Eskwela will be more focused in repainting the walls
as stated in the DepEd Order No. 21 s. 2023

The following were the different activities accomplished in our school,

BACOLOR ELEMENTARY SCHOOL-MADAPDAP during the said annual
maintenance week:

On August 14, our school launched the BRIGADA ESKWELA 2023 Kick
Off wherein parents and barangay officials graced the said event. Also in
attendance were the teachers, external stakeholders, alumni and the incoming
pupils of the school. Kick – off ceremony started with a parade followed by a short
program prior to the official launching of the said maintenance week.

On this first day, cleaning activities were started such as sweeping the
grounds with the help of the stakeholders.

On the second day (August 15), teachers focused in cleaning their

surroundings like removing unwanted seeds and cleaning plant boxes as well as
planting various plants to beautify their surroundings.

On the third day (August 16), teachers cleaned and repainted their tables and
chairs.
 For the fourth day (August 17), teachers spent their whole time in making
their ceilings and walls bare as well as repairing and cleaning electric fans,
televisions and printers.

Cleaning and repainting of walls outside the classroom was done also on the
same day.

On the 5th and 6th days, teachers focused on painting their ceilings and walls
with the prescribed paint color as stipulated in the DepEd Order no. 021 series
2023.

After a weeklong of hard work, the school was set to be ready for another
school year . But surely, there’s something more teachers have to get themselves
ready to fire up and inspire another batch of pupils after this “Brigada Eskwela. “

The school once again extended its debt of gratitude to all the volunteers
who unselfishly gave their support in making the said activity a successful one.
Once again, we have proven that “ In unity, we can do everything.”

BACOLOR ELEMENTARY SCHOOL-MADAPDAP is 100% ready to

go back to school for the School Year 2023-2024!
