Sport is one way not only to show the skills and talents of the teachers
but also develop the spirit of sportsmanship and camaraderie among individuals.

Also, it promotes healthy lifestyle and prevent non-communicable disease.

Then, enable the teachers to realize their strengths and weaknesses and be able
to improve on each area.

That is why the Esperanza ES conducted a 3-week Health and Wellness

program last August 1-19, 2022. The said activity is spearheaded by Geraldine
T. Virtudazo, NDEP Coordinator

The said activity was participated by the teacher and NDEP Officers. This
will help the teachers derive from doing the obnoxious things that might hinder
them in achieving proper weight management and healthy diet to reduce the
Body Mass Index. Also, encourage learners to participate in the anti-drug
advocacy government through ZUMBA.

The first activity was Pre-weighing for the month together with the EES
teachers of different grade levels.

It was then followed by opening program led by our energetic Principal

Mrs. Claribel G. Crisol; officially declared the beginning of the Health and
Wellness program. As the day goes on, Zumba dance and Badminton were
played by the teachers until it reaches the final game to determine the
champions of Badminton tournament.

The program is very crucial because we truly believe that teachers are
diverse in many ways thus, it is true that not all teachers are adept in the field
of sports. Therefore, it is essential that we conduct differentiated activities to
cater the skills and talents the teachers have.

The final part of the activity is the declaration and awarding ceremony
wherein not only the winners have been awarded prizes to recognize their efforts
during the conduct of games but also those who have lost but actively
participated in the activity.
