Good day. Our choice of this topic has deep reasons.

First, we want to better understand the modern role of

economic education in teaching sustainable practices at home. We know that Home Economics has changed and we
want to find out how it meets current sustainability goals.

Second, we realized that the side of homeowners who have already experienced the influence of Home Economics
on their houses has not been analyzed much. We want to hear their opinions and stories of how this education
becomes a practical solution in everyday life.

And finally, this study aims to examine how factors such as income, education level, and family size affect the
effectiveness of economic education in sustaining a sustainable lifestyle. We want to understand how it helps people
in different contexts.

We decided to do this study to help in a deeper understanding of the importance of Home Economics in teaching
sustainable living, and how it helps people's daily lives. Thank you very much.

DETETMAINE VARIABLES

First, we would like to introduce the main parts of our research. It has two main parts: the variables.

First variable we call "Independent Variable" or the one that is not changed and we look at how it affects another
variable. In our case, this is "Home economics education." That is, we look at how this education affects another
area of research.

The second variable is what we call "Dependent Variable" or the one we look at how it is affected by the
independent variable. In our research, this is "sustainable household practices." That is, we are examining how
economic education has an impact on promoting sustainable living.

These are the main parts of our research.

STANDARDIZED QUESTIONER

Researcher: with great joy. Our "Home Economics Education and Sustainable Household Practices Survey"
is a standardized questionnaire developed to assess the importance of economics education in promoting
sustainable living. We have some steps to protect the quality of our questionnaire.

First of all, the questions and items in the questionnaire were subjected to a thorough review and audit by
experts in the field of Home Economics and Sustainable Living. This is to ensure that the questions will help
in evaluating our purpose.

Second, we conducted preliminary testing or pilot testing of the questionnaire on a small group of
respondents. This is to ensure that the questions are clear and understandable to the participants.

And finally, we give clear instructions to the respondents and place them at the top of the questionnaire. Also
includes a key or guide on how to interpret their answers.
Above all, we have the research intention to help in a deeper understanding of the role of Home Economics
education in sustainable household practices. This aims to generate data that will help the community and
education.S

RESEARCH GAP

Our research aims to fill the research gap in the field of Home Economics education and sustainable living. This is
based on our review of related studies and literature from experts in different parts of the world.

First, we noticed that despite the progress of Home Economics in recent years, there is a lack of understanding of its
current influence in sustaining a sustainable lifestyle. This is a research gap that we recognize based on Moss's 2012
study.

Second, This lack of analysis is important because it results in not recognizing the true effects and perspectives of
homeowners regarding Home Economics education. This causes a lack of awareness about the concrete benefits and
challenges brought about by this type of education in homes. By addressing this gap, data and knowledge about how
Home Economics affects people's daily lives and the general arrangement of their homes will become more
meaningful. This is another research gap that we see, based on Smith studies in 2018.

And the last, one of the things we identified is the lack of analysis of the influence of factors such as income,
education level, and family size on the impact of Home Economics education in sustaining a sustainable lifestyle.
We recognized this based on the analysis of Mok and his colleagues in 2021.

In our research, we aim to fill these gaps or research gaps to deepen the knowledge regarding the effectiveness of
Home Economics education in spreading sustainable living. Thank you very much.

OBJECTIVE/RATIONAL

The main objective of our study is to examine the impact of economic education on the adoption of sustainable
living practices by homeowners. By understanding homeowners' perspectives, we want to examine how effective
economic education is in spreading habits that value nature and sustainable housing.

In other words, we want to know how economic education helps to spread habits that give importance to nature and
sustainable living within homes. We are interested in understanding how it helps people's daily lives.

Our goal is to have a deeper knowledge about the role of economic education in spreading habits that help nature
and ecology. This is part of our mission to help build a more meaningful lifestyle in our communities.

TARGET LOCALE

Our chosen target locations are urban and suburban areas in General Mariano Alvarez, Cavite where economic
education programs can be easily accessed.

We chose the location because it has a good representation of areas that have economic education that can help
spread sustainable living. This gives us the opportunity to assess the effects of this education in urban and suburban
communities.

It is important that we understand how economic education affects homes, especially in areas with unique trends and
needs. This will pave the way for a more meaningful study and understanding of our subject.

TARGET PARTICIPANTS

The people we are referring to are the homeowners living in General Mariano Alvarez, Cavite who have graduated
from economic education programs or courses. They must be aged 18 and above.

We chose them as our participants because they are the ones who are sending the impact of economic education and
their houses that are swinging in ecological practices. We want to understand how this education helps them in their
daily lives and in their families.
Through their stories and perspectives, we will gain a deeper understanding of the impact of economic education in
promoting sustainable living. This is part of our goal to help communities live better.

WHAT IS OUR MEASURING TOOLS?

For our study about "research title," it's important to use key tools or measuring instruments to accurately measure
data and gather meaningful information from the participants. Here are the main tools we will use:

1. Questionnaire: A survey or questionnaire is an important tool to understand the views of homeowners regarding
the effects of Home Economics education on their practical life skills. Through well-crafted questions, we can
observe their opinions, knowledge, and experiences on this topic.

2. Interview: Personal interviews will allow us to delve deeper into the experiences and opinions of homeowners.
These will be conducted with care and empathy to convey their thoughts in more detail.

3. Observation: By examining or observing their actual household activities, we can see how they implement
sustainable practices. This will help validate their responses to the questions.

4. Focus Group Discussion: Through purposeful group discussions, we will gain a better understanding of their
thoughts and perspectives. We'll have the opportunity to share ideas and have in-depth conversations within the
group.

5. Document Analysis: We will examine documents or writings related to Home Economics education and
sustainable practices, such as modules, books, and other educational materials.

All of these methods will enable us to gather comprehensive data and information to thoroughly assess the
importance and impact of Home Economics education on sustainable practices in the homes of our participants.

WHAT IS SIGNIFANCE OF OUR STUDY?

SIGNIFICANCE

The research paper on the role of Home Economics Education in promoting sustainable household practices would
have several beneficiaries. Firstly, (1) HOMEOWNERS THEMSELVES stand to gain valuable insights into
sustainable practices that can benefit their households. They would learn practical skills related to budgeting,
resource management, and eco-friendly choices that can reduce their environmental footprint.

(2) EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS OFFERING HOME ECONOMICS PROGRAMS would also benefit as the
research findings could enhance their curriculum, ensuring it remains relevant and aligned with current sustainability
trends. This could attract more students to enroll in such programs.

Furthermore, (3) POLICYMAKERS AND GOVERNMENT AGENCIES FOCUSED ON SUSTAINABILITY AND

ENVIRONMENTAL CONSERVATION would find this research beneficial. It could inform the development of
policies and initiatives aimed at promoting sustainable living at the household level.

(4) NON-GOVERNMENTAL ORGANIZATIONS (NGOs) and COMMUNITY GROUPS DEDICATED TO

SUSTAINABILITY AND EDUCATION would also be interested in the outcomes of this research. It could provide
them with evidence-based information to support their educational campaigns and outreach efforts.

In summary, this research paper has the potential to benefit homeowners, educational institutions, policymakers, and
organizations dedicated to sustainability and education by shedding light on the role of Home Economics Education
in promoting sustainable household practices.
