 The first step of the implementation


phase is to create a draft for the text.
 A draft is a rough sketch of your future
piece of writing.

JUST ONE DRAFT?


DO

Do revise your first draft if it looks too long.

Do reread the draft several times and return to the


requirements of your assignment and topic.

Do leave empty space in the text when writing.

Do set a time limit for yourself.

Do write the first draft as rapidly as you can.


DON’T

Don’t pay too much attention to punctuation,


grammar, spelling, word choice, style of writing, and
other minor peculiarities

Don’t write your thoughts down in details.

Don’t consider crafting a first draft of an essay as


unnecessary.

Don’t wait for a special occasion to come for


inspiration to draft your essay.

related to a single topic.

Paragraphs can contain many different


kinds of information:
 Narrative paragraphs
 Descriptive paragraphs.
 Expository (explanatory) paragraphs.
 Persuasive paragraphs.
 Classification paragraphs.
 Illustrative paragraphs.
 Compare and contrast paragraphs.
