PROCEDURE FOR TESTING SENSORS

1. Radiator water level sensor

1) Stop the engine, turn the starting switch


OFF, and remove the sensor from the radi-
ator.
2) Put the test pin of the tester in contact
with the sensor connector.
3) Move the sensor float up and down, and
measure the resistance between terminals
1 and 2.

* Judgement

Condition When normal

Float up Max. 1 Q

Float down Min. 1 M 8

2. Engine oil level sensor

1) Stop the engine, turn the starting switch


OFF, and remove the sensor from the en-
gine.
2) Connect a T-adapter to the sensor connec-
tor.
3) Move the sensor float up and down, and
measure the resistance between terminal
1 and the bracket.

3. Engine oil pressure sensor

1) Stop the engine and turn the starting


switch OFF.
2) with the sensor still installed to the engine,
disconnect the wiring harness from the

1 and 2 with the sensor at about the same
temperature as the ambient temperature.

5. Hydraulic oil temperature sensor

1) Stop the engine, turn the starting switch


OFF.
2) With the sensor still installed to the piping
at the suction side of the hydraulic pump,
disconnect the wiring harness from the
sensor.
3) Measure the resistance between terminal
1 and the ground.

* Judgement

6. Fuel level sensor

1) Stop the engine and turn the starting


switch OFF.
2) With the sensor still installed to the fuel
tank, disconnect the wiring harness from
the sensor.
3) Measure the resistance between terminals
1 and 2.
