Research Title:
PREPARATION AND EVALUATION OF READING MATERIALS FOR GRADE ONE

Researcher/s: CELIA PALOMAR SUMAGAYSAY

================================================================

Significant Findings of the Study:

It is possible to improve the effectiveness of teaching reading by using reading materials that
are of high quality and appropriate difficulty for the students. Instructional materials should be
adaptive and consider different readers' reading levels, demographics, and attitudes. It's
intended that this study will inspire teachers to participate in the Ministry of Education, Culture,
and Sports project, which entails creating extracurricular reading materials that cater to
students' requirements, aptitudes, and interests. Parents, teachers, and administrators will find
the study's findings helpful in choosing books and stories for kids. Teachers who want to
produce reports may also find the conclusions helpful when creating reading materials to share
with elementary students. The study benefits students because they will use the materials and
their leading textbooks as supplemental reading materials.

What benefits/significance you/we (teachers and students) can gain from the
research conducted?

The significance of this study for us as aspiring educators is that it reveals why students,
particularly in elementary schools, receive poor reading teaching. The lack of instructional
materials has been cited as the main factor in why kids in elementary schools struggled with
reading comprehension. The reading resources assist students in developing their reading
abilities and give teachers access to appropriate and attractive reading material to support
students' independent reading development.

Reaction and Reflection about the study:

The study examines the value of reading materials for learners in general and primary school students.
The importance of reading cannot be understated or disregarded, according to the study. The ability to
use this instrument effectively determines whether a person succeeds or fails. The study examines to
evaluate the reading comprehension of the learners. We might conclude that comprehension is crucial
for the growth of both individuals and our nation.
