On-site Warning Device: i-touch
Designed specially for P-alert, i-touch is an
earthquake warning device, connecting to P-alert by
RS-485 cable whose maximum communication
length can reach up to 1200 meters. Users can
operate and configure i-touch by its touch screen. I-
touch is able to store 100 seismic records (intensity
& time) continuously. As events occur, the built-in
audio warning will be activated automatically. It has
two different sound phases based on different
intensities. The built-in battery, supplying power to
P-alert simultaneously, can last for 4 continuous
hours without AC power supply.
An i-touch can be customized for connecting up to
three P-alerts (optional), by means of the principal
that if two out of three P-alerts detect real seismic
waves, the alert will be released. This is to avoid
false alarm which is made by humans or non-
seismic activities.
With the combination of P-alert and i-touch, users
are able to apply this advanced function of P-alert
to earthquake early warning for reducing any further
follow-up damage.

A Proper Location Should be

• Indoors because P-alert

is not waterproofed.
• As close to the ground
as possible.
• Far away from non-
natural vibration.
• A pillar is always better
than a wall.
• Easy access to power
and Ethernet sockets.

Connect P-alert to PC

You can connect your PC or laptop to P-alert directly via a Ethernet cable.
If your PC or laptop cannot act as a modem, you need to use a HUB in between.
