Unit #1: People

Write an online profile using your own information.

Remember to include:

• your name
• age
• hometown
• where you live
• your school
• things you can do well
• things you like and don't like

Remember to use periods, capital letters, and commas.

EXAMPLE:
Unit #3: Daily life

Write an email to your friend. Invite your friend to visit you in your city or town.

In the invitation:

• ask your friend how she or he is

• give a reason for your message
• give details about the visit, such as dates and where to stay
• ask for your friend's reply

Write your life story.

Remember to:

• write about when and where you were born

• write about important events and years in your life
• use words like in, when, and later to link ideas in the past

Write an email to a student in another country.

Remember to:

• start the email with Dear

• say who you are
• talk about your family
• talk about study / work / free time
• say what you want to do after you finish your classes

- Read the social media profile. Ask and answer questions:

- What do you always do in the morning?

Unit #6: Family

- Talk about someone from your family: When were they born? Where do they live? What
do they do? How old are they?
- Talk with a partner about your childhood hobby. Start the conversation with this question:
What was your hobby when you were a child?
- What did you do on your last birthday?

Unit #7: Trips

- What did you do when Covid 19 started?

- Imagine you went on a trip around your country last year. Say your opinion of the vacation,
transportation used, places visited, what you liked most.
- Do you use public transportation? Is it fast? What is the best way to get around where you
live?
