FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Missoula, MT (October 18, 2023) – Missoula County Sheriff’s Office is aware of and investigating
several reports of suspicious activity and thefts from vehicles between October 13-16, in the Lolo area.
Most activity occurred in the overnight and early morning hours. Multiple juvenile suspects have been
identified and are being interviewed by Missoula County Sheriff’s Office Detectives.

We encourage all residents to take precautions such as ensuring all vehicles, including recreational
vehicles, are locked and secured. Remove all keys, firearms, and debit or credit cards and do not store
them near the vehicle. Do not leave loose items such as hunting or outdoor gear and other valuables
unsecured in the rear of a pickup or parking area. Park in well-lit areas, and if you have outside lights,
leave them on. Most importantly, if you SEE SOMETHING, SAY SOMETHING.

We greatly appreciate the community’s cooperation in reporting these incidents. If you believe you
were a victim, please call 911 or contact our office at 406-258-4810. Information can be provided
anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 406-721-4444.

The investigation is active and ongoing. More details will be provided as they become available.
