The First SUP Experience

Last year, I had an unforgettable sand up paddle boarding (SUP) experience on

Alouette lake in the summer when I was at Golden Ears provincial park. This is a new

and extraordinary way to play on the lake and it also provides the added benefit of a full-

body workout. I originally bought this simply because I saw many videos posted by

some content creators using this SUP on a lot of beautiful lakes. When I first received

this SUP, my first feeling was that it was heavier than I thought. After driving for

approximately an hour from home, I finally arrived at the park and came to the shore of

the lake. When I was ready to go into the lake, I also found that inflating was a laborious

task. Staying balanced on a SUP is the most principal rule. I was a little uncomfortable

with the balance when I stood on the SUP for the first time, but after falling into the

water several times, I quickly adapted to this SUP. I sat steadily in the middle of the

SUP, put my feet in front, gently moved the oars left and right alternately, and then the

thrust slowly pushed me far away. That day, the wind was calm, and I quietly felt the

comfort of staying on the SUP. As the sun went down, my first SUP tour was coming to

an end. Although it was an exhausting day, it was an unforgettable experience.
