Numerous COVID 19 vaccine mandates have been enacted by various regions in the

United States, both in the public and private sectors. In the late-stage trials, three covid-19

vaccines have shown positive responses ("Driving to Comply: Mind Genomics, Arizona, and the

COVID-19 Vaccine", 2021). Of the three vaccines, Moderna and Pfizer have applied to be

approved by the federal government. While the government initially said they would not force

people to take the vaccines, various reforms have been made recently, giving different

vaccination mandates. Henceforth, these mandates have been applied by both the public and

private sectors, where they have demanded proof of vaccination before gaining any service. For

example, in various institutions across the country, students were denied access to the premises if

they did not show any proof of vaccination.

Various enhancements have been made in the Immunization Registry. For optimum

exchange of data across multiple states ("Driving to Comply: Mind Genomics, Arizona, and the

COVID-19 Vaccine", 2021). A system where those who have crossed states' lines would still

access their vaccination data. As a result of the mandates enacted, it has attracted varied

reactions from the general public. While some people have accepted these, others are completely

unhappy with them.

As a result of being unhappy, they have challenged these mandates through the legal

systems. This reaction has been seen both in the public and private sectors. For example,

employees of Houston Methodist Hospital filed a lawsuit against the hospital for firing them

because of not being able to comply with the vaccine mandates set by the hospital.

In conclusion, despite the government saying they would not force people to take the

vaccines first. They have enacted mandates which seem to move people to take the vaccines.

This has attracted various reactions from the general public due to the effects it has had on their

lives.
