Teaching Philosophy

When it comes to the philosophy of teaching there are many things to take into

account and are different for every person. I feel like the best way I can express my

beliefs about it is through words. First off, the motivation to why people pursue teaching

in the first place is very important. I think they should want to educate and help kids as

much as possible to guide them and set them up for a successful future. Being positive

and helping kids in believing themselves to help them excel in life is so important. Also

realizing that teachers are like mentors that children look up to so being a good role

model is vital in teachers. Every child is different so adjusting methods and strategies

based on what is suitable for them will help in order for them to learn and understand.

There are many techniques in teaching that pertain to each child's learning style

whether it’s verbally, visually, hands on, or even a mixture of them. Teachers are not the

only ones being taught because children are teaching them as well on how to improve

and better their skills as a teacher. Getting feedback from the kids will only help them in

enhancing their performance as a student. Setting rules and procedures will give a

sense of structure as well as a respect between teachers and students. Pedagogy is

ever evolving throughout time from many studies and research that occur so staying on

top of that information will help teachers to progress in their field with their students.
