PRESENTATION, ANALYSIS AND INTERPRETATION OF DATA

This chapter presents the findings and analysis derived from the results of the

researcher’s interview in order to answer specific questions as stated in Chapter 1. A total of

20 participants underwent a 30-minute face-to-face interview. This chapter solely focuses on

presenting the gathered data in a meaningful way to facilitate the discussion.

This chapter provides the background of the respondents by analyzing their

demographic details, effective study habits and how to best employ each study habit. This is

followed by findings, analysis of data, interpretation and the summary.

PROFILE OF THE RESPONDENTS

The researchers included the profile of the respondents to determine if these variables

may contribute to the study habits of the grade 11 students. The profile was limited to three

(3) variables namely; age, gender and chosen strand.

Profile of the Respondents as to Age

Table 1

It could be noticed on the table that the age of 16 posts the highest frequency of 22

respondents with a percentage of 73.3 percent of the total 30 respondents and in rank 1. The

other age posted the following frequencies: 4 respondents with a percentage of 13.3 were in

the age of 17; and age of 15 and 18 have the frequencies of 2 respondents each with a

percentage of 6.7.

As a whole, majority of the respondents were in the age of 16. It implies that they are

on the right age for being a grade 11 student and considered as an adolescent. Thus, the

students at this age are observed to be more strategic in studying.
