Instructional Materials Competition

What is an Instructional Materials Exhibit?

An instructional material exhibit in education is a display of educational resources that


are available for teachers, students, and other stakeholders to examine and learn about. These
exhibits can be held at a variety of venues, such as schools, libraries, conferences, and trade
shows. It provides teachers and other stakeholders with an opportunity to learn about educational
materials and services that can help them improve their teaching and learning practice, compare
different educational materials side-by-side to find the best resources for their needs, and get
hands-on experience with educational materials to see how they work and how they would be
used in their classrooms.

General Guidelines:

1. This competition is open to CTE students of SFXC.


2. There shall be four (4) entries per program (BEEd and BSEd).
3. Instructional Materials must be conventional.
Conventional materials in education are physical materials that are used to teach and
learn. They are typically printed on paper or other durable material, such as
cardboard or plastic. Conventional materials can include:

Textbooks
Workbooks
Handouts
Flashcards
Charts and posters
Manipulatives
Games and puzzles
Classroom furniture and equipment

Appeal Mechanism:

1. The winners chosen by the judging panel shall be considered final and will be
announced during the Awards Ceremony.
2. If any team shall contest the judgement, they shall present their claim with valid and
official documents.
3. The Officiating Team of the Instructional Materials Competition, together with the
judging panel, shall peruse the submitted documents and create a resolution
accordingly.
