Wideband Sensor and Controller

To properly tune your engine, a Wideband Sensor & Controller is required. Popular wideband controllers
are from AEM X-Series and 14point7 Spartan. To connect the wideband controller to the Main Board, use
the included JST connectors. See below figure for proper wiring. Improper wiring can cause damage to
PnPduino and/or wideband controller.

PG = Power Ground or Chassis Ground This is not ECU Ground

O2 = Linear O2 Output 0 to 5V Output
Gnd = ECU Ground ECU Ground
12V = Fused 12V Supply 3 Amp Resettable fuse built in
Please check your wideband controller for the wiring installation. Examples of wirings from popular
wideband controllers are shown below.

Enabling Wideband Controller in Tunerstudio

● Click Tuning, then AFR/O2.
● Change the Sensor Type from Disabled to Wideband.
● Change the Algorithm to No Correction. You can ONLY change this after the engine is tuned
properly.
● Click Burn then Close.
Calibration of Wideband Controller
● Click Tools, then Calibration AFR Sensor
● Select the correct Brand and Model of your wideband controller. If it is not available from the
list, select Custom Linear WB at the bottom
● Put the correct Volts and AFR for Points 1 and 2. Example is from AEM X-Series 30-0300. For
Gasoline, 0.5V = 8.50 AFR; 4.5V = 18.0 AFR. For 14Point7, 0V = 10AFR; 5V = 20AFR. Take note
that if you are using different fuels like E85, select Lambda instead of AFR from Project
Properties (Ctrl+P)
● Click Write to Controller, then Close
Displaying AFR gauge and Battery Voltage
● Right click 1 of the gauges you are not using (ex. Pulse Width or Duty Cycle)
● Select Sensor Inputs, then click Air:Fuel Ratio - afrGauge
● Select Sensor Inputs, then click Battery Voltage - batteryVoltage
