OpenVMS Alpha Operating System

OpenVMS Alpha, also known as OpenVMS for Alpha Servers, is a highly scalable and reliable operating
system designed for Alpha AXP architecture developed by Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC).
OpenVMS was first released in 1977 and has a long history of serving critical applications in finance,
healthcare, and manufacturing industries.

As of my last update in September 2021, OpenVMS continues to be supported and updated by VMS
Software Inc. (VSI), a company formed by former DEC engineers who acquired the rights to the
OpenVMS operating system in 2014. VSI has been working on modernizing and enhancing OpenVMS,
ensuring its compatibility with newer hardware and technologies while retaining its reputation for
stability and security.

For the latest information on OpenVMS Alpha and its future developments, I recommend visiting the
official website of VMS Software Inc. or following their official social media channels. Please note that
specific details about the future of OpenVMS Alpha might not be publicly available due to the
proprietary nature of the software and the policies of the organizations involved.
