THE COMPETITION

- First Round: league format will be used. Each team will play one match against each of the other teams
in the same Group( groups of 4 teams per group)
- The second round is played under the knockout system. All teams will be qualify for this round and the
matches will be played in accordance with the schedule drawn up by the Organising Committee. If a
match ends in a draw, penalties will be taken to determine the winner in accordance with the FIFA
procedure/regulations
- All teams will play a minimum of 4/5 matches.

DOCUMENTATION

Prior to the start of the tournament, participating teams must admit an official signed document to the
Tournament Committee certifying that all personal details (Christian name, surname, date of birth) and the kit
number of all players are correct.

Each team supervisor will receive two copies of the roster corresponding to respective teams. Prior to each
match, a copy of both must be handed into the field director.

At the request of the Tournament Committee, participants must show their Federation Licence and validated ID
(DNI, Passport or any official document with the date of birth and photo).

The Tournament Committee will revise all the documents prior to the start of the tournament and during the
competition and can be requested at any time.

If a team is found to have used an ineligible player in a tournament game, they will be penalized and lose the
match (3-0).

AGES GROUPS 2023:

-Born in 2008-09- U-16, NO PROFESSIONAL teams can register 2 players of 2007. (only ONE in the field at the
same time)

-Born in 2010-11- U-14, NON-PROFESSIONAL teams can register 2 players of 2008. (only ONE in the field).

-Born in 2012-13- U12, NON-PROFESIONAL TEAMS can register 1 player born in 2011.

NUMBER OF PLAYERS AND SUBSTITUTES:

There is no limitation in relation to the number of players included in the participants list/roster. All players are
eligible to be called up and be selected to play the match.

Neither, is there limitation to the number of substitutions that may be used during the match. Substitutions must
be previously authorized by the Field Director, Co-director or Referee. There is no limit to the amount of times a
substitute may play.

FOOTBALL KIT

Each team shall have an official and reserve team kit (either two sets of t-shirts or one t-shirt and one vest); both
kits must have their corresponding number on the back. The colors of the reserve team kit shall be different from
the colors of the official team kit.
If the referee considers that the two teams’ colors might cause confusion, the second team on the roster will use
its reserve team kit, or a combination of both.

All t-shirt numbers must coincide with the list provided on the official match sheet.

VENUES
Matches will be played on artificial turf (ASTRO TURF).

FORMAT OF PLAY

The tournament will start on 12th of October evening , and will end on morning, 15th of October.

First Round will be played on, 12th-13th. Knockout system will be played on 14th , Quarter-finals and Semi-finals,
and 15th , the Finals.

The Tournament Committee maintains the right to modify the format of play, including timetables and venues. All
the information in relation to the changes will be given in advance to the team supervisors.

PENALTY KICKS IF THE RESULT OF A MATCH IS A DRAW (in final phase)


If a match ends in a tie, penalty kicks will be taken to determine the winner in accordance to the FIFA
Regulations. Penalty shootout a round of five shots will be taken (three in U12). If the score is a draw after this
round, sudden-death shootout format will be used. Sudden-death shootout: teams take turns until one team
scores and the other team fails.

All the players will be able to participate in the penalty shoot-out. Penalty shoot-out must be taken by five
different players (three in U12). The goalkeeper may not be substituted during the penalty shootout, except for
injury.

The players will be able to take a second penalty kick only after all players have participated one time. The
players other than the shooter and the goalkeeper must be situated in the center circle.

DURATION OF THE MATCHES

U-16: The duration of the matches: two periods of 22 minutes.


U-14: The duration of the matches: two periods of 20 minutes.
U12: The duration of the matches: two periods of 20 minutes.

The Tournament Committee maintains the right to modify the duration of the matches and the timetable as
required.

Half-time will last 3 minutes except in the Final which will last 10 minutes.

PUNCTUALITY

Teams must be ready on the field 30 minutes prior to kick-off.

If a team does not report for a match, the team will be considered as having lost. The match and three points will
be awarded to its opponents with a score of 3-0.

SCORING SYSTEM FOR QUALIFYING ROUND

- Victory: 3 points

- Draw: 1 point

- Defeat: 0 points

QUALIFYING CRITERIA

If two teams are equal, their rankings will be determined as follows:


1. The result when those teams played each other.
2. The goal difference obtained in all group games.
3. The team which has scored the most goals in all group games.
4. Lowest number of yellow/red cards (Fair Play)

If more than two teams are equal, their rankings will be determined as follows:
1. Number of points won in the games they played against each other.
2. The best goal difference obtained in the games they played against each other.
3. The highest goal difference obtained in all group games.
4. The team which has scored the most goals in all group games.

REFEREES

All the referees participating in EAST MALLORCA CUP belong to the National Referee Committee and
designated by the Territorial Committee. No protest may be made about the referee´s judgement and decisions
made whilst game is in play. Referees decisions are final.

EAST MALLORCA GIRLS CUP TOURNAMENT COMMITTEE


The Tournament Committee comprises of two people who are representatives of the Organization.

The Committee will process protests and objections; it will pass on the decisions to the teams. The decisions are
final.

DISCIPLINARY CODE
Sanctions derived from technical infractions, such as:

- Holding on to an opponent.

- Committing a foul against the opponent to avoid a scoring chance.

- Goalkeeper handles the ball outside his own penalty area.

- Receiving a second caution in the same game (two yellow cards).

These and similar infractions will not hold any prejudice for the player/s in the following matches.

Sanctions derived from misconduct, such as:

- Serious foul plays with intentional violence (vicious tackles), spitting at an opponent, violent conduct.

These and similar infractions will have direct consequences for the player/s preventing him/them from playing
the next match. Depending on the gravity of the misconduct, the player can be suspended for various matches.

A player who has been sent off due to a violent infraction or conduct will be reported to the National Football
Federation of his country of origin.

CLAIMS & PROTESTS

The Team’s Delegate must submit, in writing, claims and protests to the field director or to the Organization’s
representative within half an hour of the end of the match, otherwise they will be disregarded.

Protests about the referee´s decisions regarding infractions connected with the play will not be accepted.

CODE OF CONDUCT FOR PLAYERS AND TEAM MANAGERS

Each club must designate a person responsible for the team in case the Organization needs to contact them due
to matters related to the Tournament, either directly related to the competition or otherwise (hotel, bus service...)

This person, together with the members of the delegation, will be responsible for preventing any damage to the
facilities, such as: dressing rooms, hotel-rooms, buses, etc.
In the last instance, the Football Club/Association will be responsible for all damages caused by their players.

Hotel:
Silence must be respected between 11 p.m. to 8 a.m. Meal times and timetables established by Hotel
Management must be respected. No alcohol, neither any other illegal substance is permitted in player’s rooms.

Failure to comply by players or Team Managers with the aforementioned rules may lead to sanctions (expulsion
from the Tournament).

INSURANCES & LIABILITY

Each participating Club/Association shall be responsible for compulsory insurance cover: particularly health,
accident and travel insurance for all members of the delegation. All members must have their Health Insurance
card in their possession at all times.

Associations requesting the official entry form on doing so declare that all players are in good physical condition
to play the Tournament. The Organization accepts no responsibility for any personal injury caused to oneself or
any other player during the Tournament.

The Organization accepts no responsibility for injury, loss or theft of personal belongings. Neither will it be
responsible for any possible unexpected events related to the Public or Private sector, for example: transport
strikes, delays, flight cancellations, etc.

Associations shall accept the use by the Organization of sports photographs and videos of players whilst playing
during the Tournament.

MODIFICATIONS
The Organization Committee has exclusive competence in those circumstances that are not reflected in the
Regulation, being their decisions final.

The Organization Committee keeps the right to add, modify, apply or cancel any regulation/rule if needed.

The Organization maintains the right to modify the rules to improve the Tournament.
