A Kids
Layla Morrison is with Mr West because it is her first day in the new school. She is going to
be in class 9K with Chloe. Layla lives in Oak street. Chloe’s friend James lives near there, in
Elm Road. James is in their school ,but he isn’t in the same class. Dylan and James are in
Geography class. James doesn’t know the answer to question number two so he is asking
Dylan. Dylan is looking at Layla. He thinks she is very nice.
My new home
Carl lives in London, but he was born in New Zealand. He moved to England two years ago
when his father got a job there. Carl didn’t want to leave New Zealand. He had a lot of
friends there, the weather was nice and his house was near the sea. In summer he went to the
beach and was sailing a lot too.
He didn’t like England at first. The weather wasn’t nice and he didn’t have any friends. It was
cold, it rained a lot and the sea wasn’t near. Things got better when Carl started school. He
made a lot of new friends, he goes to the sports centre of school and plays football. He is in
his school’s team.
My family
Chloe is the youngest child. She has two older brothers, Dan and Jack. They are twins. Dan is
working in France because he is going to study French and Jack is studying at university.
Chloe’s parents are Dennis and Susan. Dennis is a manager and Susan is a science teacher.
Chloe has two aunts and an uncle. Uncle Peter is her mum’s brother. He is married and his
wife’s name is April. They’ve got one son, Henry. He is two years old. Chloe is going to have
another cousin soon because April is expecting a baby. Auntie Nicola is her mum’s sister. She
is single. She works for a sports company so Chloe always gets cool presents from her.
William and Heather are her grandparents. They are her mum’s parents. Her dad’s parents
died a few years ago.
