SSD IS A HDD KILLER

A solid-state drive (SSD) is a solid-state storage device that uses integrated

circuit assemblies to store data persistently, typically using flash memory, and functioning
as secondary storage in the hierarchy of computer storage. It is also sometimes called
a solid-state device or a solid-state disk. Computer performance will increase when SSD is
installed.

An SSD does functionally everything a hard drive does, but data is instead stored on
interconnected flash-memory chips that retain the data even when there's no power present.
These flash chips are of a different type than the kind used in USB thumb drives, and are
typically faster and more reliable. Solid state drives deliver faster load times for games,
applications, and movies. Because of the technology they use, SSDs are lighter and better
able to withstand movement and droppage. In addition, solid state drives use less energy,
allowing computers to run cooler. This is why SSD is faster than HDD.

SSD’s use less power because they don’t have any mechanical moving parts like hard drives
that need a motor and reading head. SSD's are about 5.4x as efficient as HDD's and use
about 5.24 watts less power under a typical server load, and they continue to get more power
efficient every year. On a per-byte capita, they consume less. But since they are getting more
data to the CPU faster, the CPU can work harder, meaning they ultimately lead to higher
power consumption. This is a pretty trivial "drawback" though and SSDs are basically the
better choice, hands down, since operations can be completed faster, less battery time is
effectively needed.
Generally, SSDs are more durable than HDDs in extreme and harsh environments because
they don’t have moving parts such as actuator arms. SSDs can withstand accidental drops
and other shocks, vibration, extreme temperatures, and magnetic fields better than HDDs.
Add to that their small size and lower power consumption, and you can understand why
they’re a great fit for laptop computers and mobile applications.

SSD is way better than HDD which can improve your PC performance. Because SSD is much
faster than HDD, less energy than HDD, and SSD is more durable than HDD. But when it
come to price SSD is more expensive than HDD, but there are several brand that sell SSD
cheaper than the other. Don't you want to improve your computer's performance? So what
