This document provides instructions for calibrating a belt-weigher system used to measure material flow rates on conveyor belts. It involves two calibration procedures: 1) dynamic tare calibration to zero out the load cells when the belt is empty, and 2) dynamic weight calibration to confirm the system is accurately measuring known test weights. It also provides an example calculation for determining material flow rate based on linear weight and belt speed.

Step 1. Make sure the conveyor belt is at empty condition after that start the conveyor and observe the load cell and Tacho readings in the sensor Tab of SWC-64(touch screen display) for conveyor 2.1& 2.2 the load cell and Tacho readings are (5.7-6.0 mv) and 272 Hz respectively and for conveyor 7.1-7.2 the load cell and Tacho readings are (3.8-4 mv) and 192 Hz at empty condition. Step 2. Once the said values are shown in the display then use the operator password and navigate the right bottom arrow key to enter the operator menu after that press the right bottom arrow key until the “Dynamic Tare Calibration” page comes out. Step 3. Start the Tare calibration by pressing the start button at empty belt running state and wait for 4-5 minutes to complete the process one the process is completed a message appears in the same page “Calibration is done press stop to confirm” then stop it to confirm and press ok to save the values. Dynamic Weight calibration: Step 1. Once the Dynamic tare calibration has been done the go for Weight calibration using the supply check weight (the supply check weight for 2.1-2.2 is 180 kg at each arm 45Kg with frame and for 7.1-7.2 it is 240 kg at each arm 60 kg to the respective four arm). Step 2. Now go for Dynamic weight calibration page it is just after the Tare calibration page. Put the weight in grams including the frame weight e.g. for 2.1 the supply check weight is 180 kg and the weight of four frames nearly 40 kg so the total weight comes out to be 220 kg now put the test weight in each arm of load cell (45+10=55 Kg) after giving the load. Start the Dynamic weight calibration in the running condition of the belt then wait for 4-5 minutes process to be completed after that a message appears “Calibration is done press stop to confirm” then stop it to confirm and press ok to save the values. Step 3. Then observe the Calculated weight if it is near to your load that is 220 kg in case of 2.1- 2.2 then no need of using C.F(correction factor) save the values as it is if it is coming different (less or more) then use C.F according to formula 𝐴𝑐𝑡𝑢𝑎𝑙 𝑤𝑒𝑖𝑔ℎ𝑡 C.F= 𝑠ℎ𝑜𝑤𝑛 𝑤𝑒𝑖𝑔ℎ𝑡 𝑖𝑛 𝑑𝑖𝑠𝑝𝑙𝑎𝑦 for example if the shown weight is 230 kg, then your 220 C. F=230 which is 0.9565, now put that value in the C.F tab using the edit button to the actual weight then press ok to save it. Flow rate Calculation of Belt weigher System Let us suppose the belt speed is 2.46 𝑚/ sec and the *linear weight is 55 𝑘𝑔/𝑚 Then flow rate = linear weight x belt speed = 2.46 𝑚/ sec x 55𝑘𝑔/𝑚 =135.3𝑘𝑔/ sec Flow rate in TPH= 135.3𝑘𝑔/ sec x3.6=487.08 TPH.
