Subject: Conduct of Examinations for Deck Officers.

Respected Madam,

This is to bring to your kind notice that many candidates preparing for the Deck
Examination of various classes have been at home since long time. The majorities are running short
on funds, are nearing or have completed the leave time with the Employers, and are waiting to be
able to appear for recalled attempt ongoing since February 2023 and patiently waiting for next
attempt of Examination.

We would like to appear and clear our said exams, before going back to join our respected
jobs, as soon as possible.

As to the Chief Nautical Surveyor’s office informing us candidates that the CNS Officer is not
available until further notice, we candidates fear that we will again be left out from our recall that was
vowed to us and the result will be announced before we could prove ourselves worthy of obtaining the
Class II COC.

Kindly, note that any further delays in the Extension, Promotion or Appointment of CNS
Officer / Chief Nautical Examiner will lead to a lag in our careers as we have dedicated ourselves to
this exam.

A positive action for the above subject will be highly appreciated, hoping that the action will
further the vision of transforming Pakistan into a Maritime Nation, and encourage future candidates to
plan for appearing for Exams from Pakistan.
