On customizing learner support services as appropriate to school-age children, youth, and
adults in situations of disadvantage, including customized health, WASH, and nutrition facilities:
Rationale:

Children have the right to water sanitation and health. This right needs to be fulfilled in
schools where children spend much of their day. Adequate water and sanitation as part of a
healthy school environment significantly improve a child’s prospects to develop and thrive.
SDO Masbate City will encourage the school to participate in the implementation of
WASH in Schools program following DO no. 10 s. 2016. Priority initiatives include orientation
on the new Online Monitoring Tool approved by CO and submission of WASH in Schools
accomplishment report thru Online Monitoring System, annual school monitoring on the
implementation of program, M&E using Monitoring tool and Program Implementation Review.
This initiative can strengthen and promote clean, safe environment and correct hygiene
sanitation for school, learners, parents and DepEd personnel.

Outputs and Interventions:

Monitoring and Evaluation on the implementation of WASH in Schools Program


following the DepEd Order no. 10. s. 2016. Improve and give technical assistance on WinS
Program activities.
The creation of school TWG for the sustainability of WASH in Schools program. Conduct
Program Implementation Review. Give incentives and commendation for the best implementing
schools.

Meanwhile, all Divisions are waiting for the approval of new revision Online Monitoring
Tool by the CO.

The overall level of implementation of areas of WinS was highly implemented by all
schools of Masbate City Division to ensure the priority improvement and sustenance of the
program implementation.
