TRANSLATION According to Catford ( 1965 ) “the replacement of textual material in one language (SL) by equivalent textual material in another language (TL)” According to Newmark ( 1988 ) “rendering the meaning of a text into another language in the way that the author intended the text”
The two definitions can be summarized as :
1. Translation is an effort to “replace” the source language text with an equivalent text in the target language by taking into account several aspects such as language, culture, social, ect. 2.
