here's a basic recipe for homemade pizza.

You can customize it with your favorite toppings:

Ingredients:

For the pizza dough:

1 ½ cups warm water (110°F to 115°F or 45°C to 46°C)

2 ¼ teaspoons (1 packet) active dry yeast

1 teaspoon sugar

3 ½ cups all-purpose flour

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 ½ teaspoons salt

For the pizza sauce:

1 can (14 oz or 400g) crushed tomatoes

1-2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 teaspoon dried basil

Salt and pepper to taste

Toppings:

Shredded mozzarella cheese

Sliced pepperoni

Sliced bell peppers

Sliced mushrooms

Sliced onions

Sliced black olives

Any other toppings you like

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Pizza Dough:

In a small bowl, combine the warm water, sugar, and active dry yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10
minutes until it becomes frothy.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt. Make a well in the center.

Pour the yeast mixture and olive oil into the well. Mix until the dough comes together.

Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.

Place the dough in an oiled bowl, cover it with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise for about 1 to 1.5
hours, or until it has doubled in size.

2. Prepare the Pizza Sauce:

In a small saucepan, heat a bit of olive oil over medium heat.

Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds, until fragrant.

Stir in the crushed tomatoes, dried oregano, dried basil, salt, and pepper.

Simmer the sauce for about 15-20 minutes until it thickens. Remove from heat and let it cool.

3. Preheat the Oven:

Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). If you have a pizza stone, place it in the oven while it preheats.

4. Shape the Pizza:

Punch down the risen dough and divide it into two equal portions.
On a floured surface, roll out one portion of the dough into your desired pizza size and thickness. If
you're using a pizza stone, you can transfer the dough to a pizza peel or an inverted baking sheet
dusted with cornmeal.

5. Assemble the Pizza:

Spread a generous amount of the pizza sauce over the dough, leaving a small border for the crust.

Sprinkle a layer of shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce.

Add your desired toppings, like pepperoni, bell peppers, mushrooms, onions, olives, and more
cheese.

6. Bake the Pizza:

Carefully transfer the pizza (if not using a pizza stone) to a baking sheet or pizza pan.

Place the pizza in the preheated oven and bake for about 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden
brown, and the cheese is bubbly and slightly browned.

7. Serve:

Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing. Enjoy your
homemade pizza!
