CRIM4-A

In some instances it is reliable but for me it is no, because we all know that polygraph testing is
not 100% accurate, also It can be manipulated by a professional liar or a professional person.
Also another example, if an innocent person is undergoing a polygraph test, what if he or she is
uncomfortable or nervous, the polygraph will show a rise of heartbeat which might lead to his or
her guilt.

Also It's debatable if polygraph tests are reliable. They are not infallible and can be affected by a
number of circumstances, but they are capable of detecting physiological changes brought on by
stress. It's a hard scenario, in my opinion.

In addition they might offer some insights, but they aren't fully trustworthy on the one hand. It
can be worthwhile to look into alternate techniques or use polygraphs as a single tool in legal
processes.

Lastly Because the results of a polygraph test can mean many things and are so unreliable in
detecting actual lies, they do not rise to the level of reliability required for scientific evidence in a
courtroom and polygraph test results are usually inadmissible as evidence
