ACHIEVEMENTS AND PARTICIPATION IN WORKSHOPS

1. Selected for the position of “Associate on International humanitarian law and Islamic law”
in ICRC, Head Quarter, Geneva March 2022 to February 2023.
2. Attended two months course on “Legal Exchange with Pakistan Ulema” organized by Max-
Planck Foundation for International Peace and Rule of law with collaboration of Sharī‘a
Academy, International Islamic University, Islamabad in December 2016, and visited by
invitation from Max Planck Foundation, Heidelberg: Federal Constitutional Court of Germany,
European Court of Human Rights, ICTY, ICTL and ICC.
3. I have obtained full scholarship from ICRC, Islamabad for LLM, at International Islamic
university Islamabad in 2016.
4. Participated in “Madrasa Discourses Program” organized by Notre Dame University, U.S.A
for Madrasa graduates, 2nd Bach.
5. Worked as part of the Organizing Team on “online course on IHL and Islamic Law” for ICRC
Internal Staff, and gave presentation on “Rules of Islamic Law on Detention” in “Course on IHL
and Islamic Law” held by the ICRC H.Q. in Geneva on 26 – 28 October 2022.

RESEARCH WORKS & PUBLICATIONS

1. Contributed as Co-author in “Islamic Perspective on the Roots of Restraint in War: A Case Study
on Pakistan”, published by ICRC Islamabad in 2021.
2. Domestic Law as an Obstacle in Providing International Humanitarian Relief: An Analytical Study
from the Perspective of Islamic Law, Published by IPS & ICRC jointly in [Urdu] Book: “Islam and
Neutral Humanitarian Action,” available here.
3. Contributed four Chapters on effective teaching of Ḥadīth, Fiqh (Islamic Law), Uṣūl al-fiqh
(Islamic Jurisprudence) and Kalam (Theology) to a research project on “Effective Teachings of
various Islamic Sciences in Madāris” launched by Institute of Policy Studies (IPS), Islamabad for
engaging the teachers in Madrasa in Pakistan, and the book has been published by IPS,
Islamabad in 2015.

Dept. of law, Faculty of Shariah & law, International Islamic University, Islamabad from 2018 till
June 2021.
2. Served as visiting lecturer, Department of law Faculty of Sharī‘ah & Law, International Islamic
University, Islamabad since 2017 till 2021.
3. Participated as part of Organizing team in “Islamic Perspective on the Roots of Restraint in War,”
20-21 October 2020.
4. Participated as organizer in “Face to Face Course on IHL and Islamic Law,” in ICRC, H.Q., Geneva
on 26 – 28 October 2022.
5. Assisted the organizer in in “Two-Day National Conference on Islam and Humanitarian Action:
Prospects and Challenges” held by Institute of Policy Studies Islamabad and ICRC Islamabad” on
November 24-25, 2021, Karachi.
6. Served as Lecturer Shaykh Zayed Islamic Centre, University of Peshawar since June 2021 to
February 2022.
7. Delivered lectures on IHL and international human rights law in number of workshops
organized by various organizations: ICRC Islamabad, Geneva Call Islamabad, and other local
NGOs for political workers, social activists, religious leaders, and local elders of different regions
in Pakistan.
