G Overpopulation is a common issue in our community which results in suffering. Due to

overpopulation we are right now food shortages like lacking the amount of onions. The larger the
population higher the amount of food productions. Add to that the pandemic that we are facing right
now, also contributes which resulted possibility of increase in unplanned pregnancies brought about by
coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic restrictions such as lockdowns. COVID -19 Pandemic is the
biggest community crisis that we are facing right now. This pandemic worsening the gender inequalities,
humanitarian partners estimate that an additional 13 million girls are now at risk of forced marriages as
a result of the pandemic, child marriages are already being resorted to by some refugee families
buckling under debilitating poverty. Refugee women are also being burdened with extra caregiving at
home, turning to precarious jobs in the informal sector, or onto the streets. Increased household
demands are also diminishing their opportunities for education while increasing exposure to the virus.
Add to that the issue about global warming which is the biggest issue that each country is facing right
now. During the pandemic, the temperature of the earth of the drop down due to low consumption of
energy and no travel which likely involves air pollution, but global warming affects the sector of food
production. Damages from climate change are a threat to the Philippine economy. It is likely to reduce
GDP substantially, but the range of possible outcomes is wide. The impact could be much worse
reaching 13.6% in 2040 if no actions are taken…with the worst effects in capital-intensive industries.
Agriculture, which contributes around a tenth of GDP, is one of the most vulnerable sectors against
climate change. It is affected directly by temperature changes and direct damage by typhoons. Because
of climate change, productivity of many crops will decline. Rain-fed crops are most affected, such as rice,
and sugarcane.
