Read the article about illegal connections and then answer the questions.

Electricity is very expensive, and some people cannot afford it. Some people connect illegally to
electrical power lines.

Illegal connections are dangerous and life-threatening. Wires are not


connected safely and are often not insulated. They are run across
floors and hang across doorways and over streets or pathways.
Exposed wires can easily cause fires and if someone tampers with
them, that person will be injured or even killed, because of
electrocution. Often it is young children who are the innocent victims
that are seriously injured or killed.
