Crochet Pattern MUSICAL NOTES

Skills level: Intermediate

Size: changes with design.

Gauge: 10 ch = about 1”.

Stitches Used: ch, sc, sl st, hdc, dc, tr, sc2tog, dc2tog.

Materials: Red Heart Fashion Crochet Thread size 3, crochet hook 8 / 1.50 mm, yard
needle.

Note: You can rely on the graphical diagram(s) to understand and make the pattern.

TO MAKE: Treble clef. [Size: 1 ½" W x 3 ¾" H; gauge: 10 ch = about 1”]

Beg ch 85 (insert a marker stitch in 80th ch-).


Work 9 hdc in 3rd ch- from hook, close with sl st to form a ring, sl st in marked st, sc in
next st, 2 sc in next st, sc in next st, 2 sc in next st, work sc in next 24 sts, (hdc2tog) 2
times, (hdc, sk 1 st, hdc)tog, (sc2tog) 2 times, sc in next 2 sts, hdc in next 2 sts, dc2tog,
dc in next 4 sts, 2 dc in next st, dc in next 3 sts, 2 hdc in next st, sc in next 2 sts, 2 sc in
next st, sc in next 10 sts, 2 sc in next st, sc in next st, 2 sc in next st, hdc in next st, 2 hdc
in next st, hdc in next st, 2 hdc in next 3 sts, sc in next st, sl st in next 2 sts. Cut thread.
Fasten off.
Joining treble clef: Sew with thread and needle (use diagram as guide). Tie and cut.

TO MAKE: Eight Note. [Size: 1 ½" W x 2 ¼" H; gauge: 10 ch = about 1”]

Form loop with end of yarn.


In loop, work ch 3, dc, 4 hdc, 3 dc,4 hdc, dc, close with sl st in first st (ch 3) to form a oval
shape.
Cont with ch 24, work sl st in 2nd st from hook, sl st in next st, sc in next st, 2 sc in next 2
sts, 2 hdc in next st, hdc in next 4 sts, (dc, tr, ch 1, dc) in next st, hdc in next st, sc in next
8 sts, sc2tog, close with sl st on oval. Cut thread. Fasten off.

TO MAKE: Quarter Note. [Size: ⅞" W x 2 ¼" H; gauge: 10 ch = about 1”]

Form loop with end of yarn.


In loop, work ch 3, dc, 4 hdc, 3 dc,4 hdc, dc, close with sl st in first st (ch 3) to form a oval
shape.
Cont with ch 16, sc in 2nd st from hook, sc in next 11 sts, sc2tog, close with sl st on oval.
Cut thread. Fasten off.

TO MAKE: Sixteenth Note. [Size: 2" W x 2 ¼" H; gauge: 10 ch = about 1”]

Form loop with end of yarn.


In loop, work ch 3, dc, 4 hdc, 3 dc, 4 hdc, dc, close with sl st in first st (ch 3) to form a
oval shape.
Following tiny arrows (I, II, III, IV, V, VI) in diagram as a guide.
Cont with ch 32 (insert a marker stitch in 10th ch-), sl st in marked st to form loop, sl st in
next st; in loop work sc in next 8 sts. Cont with ch 11; in last ch- work (3 hdc, 3 dc, 4 hdc,
3 dc), sk 2 sts, sc in next st, sc in next 10 sts, (hdc, ch 1, dc, hdc) in next st, sc in next 8
sts, (hdc, dc, ch 1, hdc) in next st, sc in next 9 sts, sc2tog, close with sl st on oval. Cut
thread. Fasten off.
