    Ø At output of kiln we get sponge iron along with it coal lump, ash and fines also come.
    Ø This separation occurs in 2 stages.
    Ø Stage 1: Separation of size
    Ø It is done by separator screen.
    Ø 3 mm-20 mm goes for SMS
    Ø > 20 mm recharged into Blast Furnace
    Ø < 3 mm goes to cold briquetting iron unit

    Ø Stage 2: Separation of Magnetic and Non-Magnetic material


    Ø Output is passed over magnetic roller.
    Ø Magnetic material gets attracted and fall nearby whereas non-magnetic material falls at
    distance.
