e) Remove unused materials such as wall plug, etc.

e) Wash and remove any grease on existing wall by using wet cloth.

f) Examine and identify all holes, crack lines, crack areas and hollow wall
on the wall surface.

g) Fill and touch up the crack using base coat with scrapper before
proceeding with the skim coat.

h) Surfaces must be clean, free from dust, oil and any trace of foreign
materials. Wall surface defects exceeding 5mm shall be rectified as
per manufacturer’s recommendation.

i) For unexpected existing wall that only have raw block wall usually
occur after partition wall removed will be apply render coat first
because of unevenness at existing joint termination from stiffener
and lintel beam.

j) Before apply render coat, all surfaces must be clean, free from dust,
oil and any trace of foreign materials that may affect bonding.

e) All substrate defects should be patched up before plastering.

f) For dry or high absorbing substrates, moisten the surface with water
prior to application.

g) Avoid stagnant or frequent water flow on substrate prior to the

plastering application to prevent poor adhesion of plaster on wet
substrate.

h) Mix thoroughly with an electrical mixer for 3-5 minutes until the
desired homogeneous paste is achieved.

i) Ensure the mix is free from lumps before use. Remix for 1 minute if
the mixed paste is left unused for more than 30 minutes.

j) Render coat is applied onto the surface with a trowel. If application

requires a few layers, the underneath layers must be dry before
applying the subsequent layers.

k) The thickness for render coat is max 10mm.

l) Upon completion of render coat, inspect the surface of base coat

applied by visual inspection. The surface must be smooth.

m) Invite Kinetics to inspect on the surface preparation before skim coat.

g) Ensure the mix is free from lumps before use.

h) Scoop the base coat, put on steel trowel and apply to the surface
by pressing the base coat well on to the surface for adequate
bonding.

i) If application requires a few layers, the underneath layers must be

dry before applying the subsequent layer.

j) Upon completion of base coat, inspect the surface of base coat applied
by visual inspection. The surface must be smooth.

k) The thickness for finishing skim coat is 1-2mm.

l) Mix the finishing coat with water thoroughly with mixer for 3-5 minutes
until the desired homogenous mortar is achieved.

m) For dry/ high absorbing substrates, moisten the surfaces with water prior
to application.

n) Smoothen the surface before proceeding with painting work.

o) To follow and comply manufacturer’s recommendation.

p) Invite Kinetics to inspect before starting the painting work.

8 COVID 19 Safety Measures to be follow strictly throughout the setup.

9  Housekeeping at end of each working day is a must for any

scaffolding job. Scaffolders on the site must ensure that:
