elements are:
1. Family Resemblances:
James O'Neill, Father of Eugene O’Neill and Marry Ellen Quinlan was the name of his mother They both
were theater actors. After O'Neill was boon her mother develops addiction to moophine. His Son Eugene
O' Nelll jo suffered from alcoholism and Commited Suicide in 1950.
So in family resembelence The Throne family in the PlayComprised of james Tyrone, Mary Tyrone and
their sons jamie and Edmund, bears Striking resemblence to O'Neils own family.The interactions and
dynamics within the family mirror in O'Neill's life, including Those father frugality, his mother's addiction
to morphine, and his brother's struggle with illness.
2.Addiction:
Mary Tyron's morphine addiction Parallels O'Neill's own mother's Stougies with addiction.
O'Neill mother Like Mary Tyrone was prescribed morphine for medical reason and became
addicted to it.
3.Alcoholism
Jame: Tyrone's alcoholism. and self destructive behaviour are reflective of O'Neill's order
boother, jamei o'Nill. who also grappled with alcoholism and various other issues.
