1. INTRODUCTION

The English Month, organized annually by the English Language Panel, offers several
interesting language-based activities for all students of SK Sultan Ismail 2. This program aims to
encourage the use of the English Language among students either in spoken or written activities.
It is hoped that at the end of the program, the student’s interest in the subject will be heightened
and simultaneously improve their achievement.

2. OBJECTIVES

2.1 To promote the use of English among students of SKSI 2.

2.2 To encourage participation of students in school-level competitions.
2.3 To identify new talents for school representatives.
2.4 To instill interest among students in activities related to the English Language.
2.5 To promote English Language as a medium of interaction/education/entertainment.
2.6 To train the students to produce competent and well-trained individuals.

3. RATIONALE

Since the English language is one of the core subjects, the students need to master it.
Hence, the English Language panel has planned a program with interesting activities so that the
students will not be doubtful about using the language daily. Apart from this, English Language
Week is also an opportunity to acknowledge the efforts of ESL teachers to teach language skills,
as well as provide support for the students to boost their confidence in using the target language
not only for examination but also to prepare them for the real world.

7. CLOSURE
With the support and commitment from all parties, it is hoped that the program planned will be

school's mission and vision, the program will be able to produce students who are successful in
all aspects of life.
