Sir, lam directed to refer to SAI’s letter No. SAI/TD/Selection trials/AG/23-24 dated 26" April, 2023 on the subject noted above. It has been decided that SAI shall conduct selection trials for Volleyball, Handball and Karate disciplines for the upcoming Asian Games to be held in China from 23" September to 8" October, 2023. 2. While trials in Volleyball and Handball may be conducted by the already constituted Selection Committees by SAl, for Karate SAI may constitute a Selection Committee consisting of former international players and a Senior SAl coach. 3. Since MYAS has already recognized Taekwondo Federation of India as the NSF for Taekwondo, the responsibility of selection of Indian team lies with the TFl. TFl may select and field team for the Asian Games in consultation/coordination with the IOA. SAI may inform TFI/IOA accordingly. Z 4, This issues with the approval of the Competent Authority.
