5.Quotation of a British Historian in the person of RG Collingwood.

“Knowing yourself means knowing what you can do; and since nobody knows what they
can do until they try, The only clue to what man can do is what man has done.”

ANSWER:
The quotation by the British historian R.G. Collingwood suggests that understanding
oneself involves recognizing one's capabilities and limitations. To truly comprehend
what you are capable of, you must take action and try different things. It implies that a
person's potential and abilities are not fully known until they have made an effort and
accomplished things. Essentially, the quote underscores the idea that we can gauge our
capabilities by examining our past actions and achievements. What a person has
accomplished in the past can serve as an indicator of what they are capable of in the
future. It encourages self-reflection and an awareness of one's own potential through an
examination of one's past actions and achievements.
