Baked sweet potato fries are an easy to prepare side dish or
appetizer. By adding a seasoned starch coating to the sliced
sweet potatoes, each bite will have an extra layer of crispy
irresistible crunch!

Ingredients
4. ¼ teaspoon black pepper
1. 1 ¼ pound sweet potatoes 5. ¼ teaspoon garlic powder

2. 2 tablespoons potato starch 6. ¼ teaspoon paprika
3. ½ teaspoon kosher salt 7. 3 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
1. Set the oven rack to the middle position. Preheat to 400°F
(204°C).
2. Line a baking sheet with foil and place in oven to heat

before roasting the potatoes.
3. Peel sweet potatoes and cut into 3/8-inch thick and about
3 to 4 inch long pieces. Place potatoes in a large bowl.

4. In a small bowl whisk together potato starch, salt, pepper,
garlic powder, and paprika.

5. Add spice mixture to the potatoes and mix to evenly coat.
6. Drizzle olive oil over sweet potatoes and mix to evenly coat.
7. Carefully remove the hot baking sheet from the oven.

Evenly space the sweet potato fries on the pan so they do not
touch.
8. Bake fries for 15 minutes. Use a spatula to carefully flip the
fries over and cook until lightly brown and crisp, about 10 to
15 minutes.
9. Enjoy the sweet potato fries hot from the oven. The fries
will not be as crispy once completely cooled.
Equipment
Oven - to cook and bake potatoes.
Baking sheets- used place in oven to heat
before roasting the potatoes.
Foil - to trap heat close to the potato.
Peelers - to peel the skin of your potatoes.
Chef's knife - to cut the potatoes into 3 to 4
inches long
Bowl - it helps us to handle the food ( potato
starch, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika).
Whisk - to merge all the ingredients ( potato
starch, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika).
Fork, Gloves, Mixing spoon - you can use fork if
you don’t have any mixing tools, or you can used
gloves such as Vinyl or latex gloves
Spatula - to carefully flip the fries over and cook
until lightly brown and crisp.
Oven mitt - used to carefully remove the hot
baking sheet from the oven
Serving plate, spoons, forks - Used to serve
your baked sweet potato.

Chocolate Rice puff or
RICE PUFF popped rice are grains of
rice that are popped and
dehydrated. This is often
mixed with sweeteners
such as sugar or corn syrup
and eaten as breakfast
cereals. There is a popular
snack in the Philippines
called “ampaw” which is
made from sweetened
popped rice.

Ingredients

1. 3 cups rice puffs 3. ¼ cup brown sugar

2. 1/4 cup light corn syrup 4. 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
Instructions
1. Heat a large sauce pan then put-in the butter
and allow it to melt.

2. Once the butter melts, add the light corn syrup
and brown sugar then stir to distribute the
ingredients.

puffs then mix well until the rice puffs are
completely coated with the liquid mixture.
4. Turn off the heat then allow the rice puffs to

5. Wet your hands then scoop about ¼ cup of rice
puff mixture then mold into a ball shape figure.
6. Place in a serving plate then serve. Share and
enjoy!
Equipment

Sauce pan - put-in the butter


and allow it to melt and to cook
ingredients.

Spatula - stir to distribute the


ingredients ( light corn syrup and
brown sugar)

Butter knife - To cut the butter.

Serving plate - for serving the


rice balls
