DISTRICT PRESS CONFERENCE

Last 26th November 2022, the District Press Conference was held at Llanera
Central School. Each category has its own coaches; Madam Maria Winnie Jennifer O.
Matutino for News Writing, Ma’am Marvie C. Baguio for Feature Writing, Ma’am
Ronalee T. Agustin for Editorial Writing, Sir Kevin G. Corpuz for Copy Reading and
Headline Writing, Ma’am Elsa T. Serapio for Editorial Cartooning, Ma’am Kristina E.
Salagubang for Photojournalism and Column Writing, Ma’am Freda S. Baldueza for
Science and Health Writing, Sir Mark Veil Antolin for Sports Writing, and Ma’am
Nenita E. Casamina for Script Writing and Radio Broadcasting, both English and
Filipino.
Lots of journalists attended this event and showed their talent in writing which is
the purpose of this activity. This also becomes an opportunity for them to express their
thoughts and let others hear their unique voice using magical pens. The winners were
announced on the same day the event occurred. In News Writing English, Bea C. Garcia
got 2nd place. In Feature Writing English, the 2nd place was won by Samuel Lloyd T.
Javier. For Feature Writing Filipino,the 1st place was won by Trisha Hannah Naguimbing.
In Editorial Writing English, Emma Rose Romero got 2nd place. For Editorial Writing
Tagalog, The 2nd place was won by Jayvee Rapadas. In Copy Reading and Headline
Writing English, Lea Tubera got 1st place. For the Copy Reading and Headline Writing
Filipino, Eisle Darlene Francisco won 1st place. In Editorial Cartooning English, 2nd
place was won by Krisha Poselero. In Photojournalism English the 3rd place is Alliyah
Faith Baguio. For Photojournalism Filipino the 3rd place was Davey Josef Baguio. In
Column Writing English, Dhaniel Geislee Fabros got 1st place. In Column Writing
Filipino Icen Joseph Villareal got 2nd place. For Science and Health Writing Filipino, the
1st place was won by John Dave Tiburcio. In Sports Writing English the 3rd place is
Jianne Nicole Bravo. For Sports Writing Filipino the 2nd place is Benjamin Jose Sapon.
In Script Writing and Radio Broadcasting English, Jian Eire Pante got the 1 st place
for Best Female Anchor. For Script Writing and Radio Broadcasting Filipino, Adler
Aguila got the 1st place for Best Male Anchor, Giecel Isidro for Best Female Anchor. For
Best Script, Best Infomercial, and Best Group Technician in English Category, the 1 st
place was won by Llanera National High School which consist of Raign Yuan Baguio,
Jian Eire Pante, Shaun Nathat Mendoza, Ashley Nicole Gante and Kayechelle Cariaga.
While in Filipino Category, 1st place was won by Llanera National High School which
consist of Adler Aguila, Giecel Isidro, Frinz Mark De Guzman, Erica Reyes, and
Chyliane Tome. Best Field Reporter in English category is Jian Eire Pante and Erica
Reyes in Filipino Category.
Journalists that won were presented at the Division Press Conference which was
held last December, 2022, at Bartolome Sanggalang National High School, Guimba
Nueva Ecija. It is very important that even they were at their young age, they are
prepared and trained enough for their journalism journey.
