Inquiry Question: In what ways can teachers use ChatGPT as a tool for increased learning in
the English Language Arts classroom?

Rationale: ChatGPT is a relatively new tool that students and teachers are being exposed to in
the classroom. Many English Language Arts teachers are feeling unsure about how to adapt
their teaching to incorporate ChatGPT. This inquiry question will help us to explore how to use
ChatGPT as a tool for learning, rather than a crutch to learning.

Inquiry Process:
- Have a specific assignment using ChatGPT in the writing process.
- Collect feedback from students as to how ChatGPT and AI has helped them in the past
with assignments.
- Comparison of students writing from before using ChatGPT as a tool and then after
using ChatGPT.
- Conversation with students about their concerns with ChatGPT in the workforce
- Conversations with working professionals (professors, accountants, engineers, teachers,
doctors, etc.) about benefits and limitations of ChatGPT in the workplace.
- Our personal experiences using ChatGPT as a tool for creating and developing ideas.
