In essence, education incorporates the principles of gender equality, which is gender
biased in education, resulting in not achieving educational goals. For this reason, an equal education is needed where the institution's curriculum integrates gender in its subjects and lectures. One of the goals of education is how to create a just society, by not discriminating between one gender. However, in reality there is discrimination in education that requires several efforts to overcome it, one of which is by formulating a curriculum with a gender perspective. The curriculum is the development of the vision and mission of educational institutions that want to realize educational goals. The gender curriculum is based on the assumption that women and men are equal in education, and have equal opportunities for education. In its application, the gender curriculum can be formulated implicitly (hidden curriculum), or explicitly (open curriculum). However, to explain gender issues we recommend an explicit way. The struggle for gender equality in modern society is still hindered by stereotypes about the roles and positions of men and women in a male-dominated society. This is because the role men in public life under their authority subordinate women. If women are subordinated to men, the result is powerlessness women so that men are only objects of exploitation by men in physical (biological) meaning. Today most women have given the same opportunity to obtain education together with men. This can be seen in the development of students' national education the number of men and women has been balanced. It shows how National education in Indonesia has penetrated sex barriers discrimination. Equal opportunity to gain knowledge for both men and women have been guaranteed through the National Law Education System, Human Rights Law and other regulations share.
