Preface

Standar Nasional Indonesia (SNI) Cement portland slag is a new standard that is compiled
based on the development of the national cement industry and protecting consumers.
Additional information can be obtained from the manufacturer.

This standard is a product diversification, where the specifications of this cement are different
from the existing types of cement. This cement is made to utilize slag derived from by-
products of the non-iron metal industry (blast-furnace). The amount of slag added to
Portland cement or slag is 36%-70%. The addition of slag is what distinguishes it from other
types of cement.

This standard is prepared with reference to ASTM C 595/C595 M-15, Standard specification
for blended hydraulic cements.

This standard was prepared using PSN 08:2016 and formulated by Technical Committee 91-
02, Chemical construction materials. This standard is the result of a consensus meeting held
in Jakarta on August 23, 2016 attended by representatives from producers, consumers,
experts and government agencies.

It should be noted that it is possible that some elements of this standard document may be
patent rights. The National Standardization Body is not responsible for identifying any or all
existing patents.
