Official continuous assessments towards final mark.

ASSESSMENT CONDITIONS

Mini Tests will be conducted during class practice.

ASSESMENT DETAILS

Continuous assessment valuation will be based on the final semester mark.

The Semester mark will be determined as follows:

Mini tests - A number of short tests, a minimum of 2, spread over the semester covering the
work done is to be conducted. The average marks obtained in the Mini tests will count 20%
towards the semester mark.

First class test - A two hour test conducted at approximately one month after the start of the
semester covering all the work done up to that stage. The marks obtained in for the first class
test will count 20% towards the semester mark.

Second class test (early examination) - A three hour test/examination conducted under
examination conditions will be written. The question paper and the answering scripts are
properly moderated. The test/examination is to be set on the full syllabus for the subject.

The marks obtained in the Second-Class test will count 30% towards the semester mark.

EXAMINATION MARK

Final examination will be three hours in duration and will count 30% towards the final result.

FINAL MARK

For the student to gain promotion in this module, the sum of the marks obtained in the above
tests must be more than 50%. Please remember there is no supplementary examination
because this is a Continuous Assessment Module.
