Writing an Essay about a Poem: Preparation

The kind of poem that I want to analyze in my essay is a historical poem. The reason why I
chose this kind of poem in my essay is because I think historical poems are interesting. The
assignment in the previous meeting taught me some of the historical poems and after reading
that I can get some knowledge about the history of Chinese Immigrants. The poem is like a
story that gives an illustration to the reader and it is interesting for me to read it. I want to
read more about historical poems and get other information about some histories.
