From: Laurie Bey, mother of Cameron Darnell Lamb who was killed by Eric Devalkenaere

Subject: Plea for you not to pardon Eric Devalkenaere, killer of Cameron Darnell Lamb

Date: October 23, 2023

I am Laurie Bey, the proud mother of the late Cameron Darnell Lamb also known as CD. I thank
God for choosing me to be his mother.

Cameron, my youngest child and only son, was a loving father, brother, grandson, uncle,
nephew, cousin, friend, and a child of God.

Cameron was a devoted father of three sons, Cameron Jr., age 10 ,Cincere age 8, and Cam'ron
age 5. These children were his everything. He devoted his life to creating memories - taking
pictures, making videos, teaching them about loving one another and being kind to each other.
He attended the kindergarten graduation of his eldest child and accompanied the middle son on
his first day of kindergarten. He would sometimes spontaneously come to school to check on
the two oldest children and to talk to their teachers. Unfortunately his youngest son did not get
that level of support because Cameron was killed before he entered school.

Governor Parson, I would like for you to know that Cameron was not who the FOP betrayed him
to be, nor was he the bad guy that former police chief Rick Smith implied when he made the
statements that “the bad guy is dead.” The Attorney General's office made no effort to contact
our family in reference to our case until 2 hours before deciding to flip a decision to support the
defendant and not the prosecutor. Furthermore, the Attorney General's office wasn't
forthcoming with the family in regards to this case and they showed very poor service. Governor
Parsons I am asking that you will please read the court of appeals’ 42 page ruling.

My son’s life mattered to me, his sons, his family, and his friends. I had a lifetime of memories
with my him. My son was killed, and his killer was found guilty. How would you or anyone feel,
if your son was killed, and the governor pardoned the killer?

My son should still be alive today had Eric Devalkenaere not taken his life, creating an unfillable
void.

Governor Parsons, I am asking that you respect the rule of law, as I have always done. A man
found guilty of murder should not be pardoned. Pardoning him would not be the right thing to
do.
