Duration: 3 days
Date: February 8-10, 2023 (as scheduled but because the CID chief had a meeting with the school heads
and the interview and skills test of the AO)

Key Results:
Stipulated topics on the approved proposal were all taken up. Basic and action research topics
were explained well by no less than by our Public Schools District Supervisor that motivate teachers to
make their own research based on classroom problems. As a matter of fact and as their outputs they were
able to submit research titles that only need minute improvement or changes.
Criteria on hiring appointment and promotion of teaching, non- teaching and teaching related
positions were also discussed for them to be aware of what documents to be submitted and how to obtain
their points for each criteria.
DDRM updates were discussed by the district DRRM coordinator giving emphasis on the
suspension of classes whenever weather disturbance will become worst.
Topics on Performance Management were all discussed by the competent Master Teachers giving
importance on how teachers will be rated, grounds for isolation and non- availment of PBB and the
preparation of Portfolio based on DepEd Order 008,s.2023.

Monitoring and Evaluation Results:

The conduct of the in service training was monitored by the surrogate division supervisor together
with our Public School District Supervisor for maximum participation and sooner submission of research
proposal titles of most teachers on the scheduled time is the ultimate proof or output gained from the
training conducted.
General Comments and Issues Encountered:

In the proposal the training will start on February 8, 2023 but because of the visit of the CID Chief
with her audience the school heads and the interview and the skill test of the AO applicants with our
surrogate supervisor Dr Evelyn C. Labad with the same date the In-service training was done for two days
only.
Some speakers were tournament managers and coaches in the Provincial meet.
Recommendations:
Absent resource speakers due to overlapping activities should notify the team ahead of time for
other speakers to take over.

Rationale:
Learning is the core of the Department of Education’s mandate. The Department sustain its
progressive orientation by ensuring that its action is informed by sound and relevant evidences from
research. Policy studies can define problems and generate possible solutions. Social experiments can
compare the effect of school interventions and without ineffective from promising one.
Appointment and promotion guidelines for teaching, non-teaching and teaching related positions
were discussed that will serve as guide for everyone in their promotions
Objectives of the Action Plan:

1.To motivate teachers to conduct their own research based on classroom problems met.
2.Guide teachers on the needed requirements for promotion
3.To intensively follow the processes stipulated in the performance management to avoid isolation and non
availment of some benefits.
4.To strictly follow DRRM guidelines to prevent any untoward incidents during calamities.
