ABSTRACT FOR WEAK 1

 This week I was totally committed to the work of the site and the site
engineer intended to share his knowledge as he can. The tasks that we had
done in this weak are construction of formwork, placement of concrete for
shear wall and grade beam, fix the mesh on the hard core and concrete
work for semi basement slab.
 In addition to this site mobilization and clearing of waste material from the
site, removal of form work from shear wall and fixing of probs for ground
floor slab are some of the task that we had executed in this week.
 Bar cutting and bending was also done in this weak.

ABSTRACT FOR WEAK 2

 During this weak there was a lot of task that we had done in the site, such as
preparation of takeoff sheet, bar schedule and BOQ for ground floor slab, in the
other hand construction of bottom soffit and side board for ground floor slab and
stair case.
 Beside this reinforcement of ground floor beam, slab and stair case was
executed.to the next day of the week excavation of axis X3-X4 and provide water
proof and construction of mason was done.
 Eventually I was check the number of bar provided on ground floor slab and
beam.

ABSTRACT FOR WEEK 3

 During this week the work progress in the site was very fast, and we had executed a lot of
task. The task that we had executed in this week was back filling of axis X3-X4, compact the
back filled soil and construct a grade beam on it.
 Installation of electrical and sanitary work.
 Dress the hard core and fixing mesh on the compacted soil, continually concrete fill for ground
floor slab and construction of column was also done in this week.

 During this week we had perform a few tasks, such as form work
removal from ground floor column, site mobilization and checking
the alignment of the floor, construction of retaining wall to support
the backfilled soil was also one of the task that executed in this
week.

 Beside this some problems was occurred in the site. Cause of the
challenges are:
1. Challenge number A-the compacted fill consolidated, so that
there was settlement to an acceptable degree.
2. Challenge number B-error occurred in the alignment the
Couse of this problem are
 Separated excavation(leads to unconventional error)
 False squadra
 Border property
 Actual land property is not the same as the given
drawing.
 Generally it was a great week for me because I was able to observer
different problems with in their solution.

MONTHLY REPORT

 In my monthly stay at Ato KITAW ZEWDU G+3 residential building

projects still teach me new things that I never know in practically.
During the second month of my internship program things was gone
better and I am more familiar, dedicated and experienced from the
previous month.
 Most of the time I have been attended in the site, even though there
was a time where I was doing tasks in the office.
 The building has shown a real progress at this month, the task we
had executed during this month was erection of formwork and
placement off concrete for shear wall, regularly excavation work in
axis x3-x4, compaction, placement of the hard core, fixing mesh on
the hard core and concrete fill for semi basement slab was done.
 Beside this erection of probs, bottom soffit for ground floor slab,
provision of reinforcement and also placement of concrete for ground
floor slab has done.
 Since reinforcement for ground floor slab I was done checking the
number of bar provided in the slab based on the structural drawing,
in addition to this reinforcement was provided for ground floor
column, production of spacer and fix it in the column and in the
bottom of slab.
 Construction of retaining wall, concrete fill and checking the number
of bar provided andthe vertical alignment of column was also as a
part of the task.
 In the office I was done take off, bar schedule, and BOQ for ground
floor slab.
 The challenge that I was observed in this month is segregation of
ground floor column in axis x4(C4), the problem was caused by loss
of vibration due to concrete fill, as we know that there is no skilled

man power and they are worked in experience so continual

supervision work deserve in the site.
 So the only solutions for this type of problem are demolishing the
segregated column and reconstruct it. Due this fact I have got a lot of
technical experience.
 Generally this month I have been able to gather more knowledgeable
and my confidence in the site has been great as ever.
